Music Director – part time keyboard or guitar specialist

United Christian Church is seeking a part time Music Director to serve as a keyboard or guitar specialist. United Christian Church is located in Clayton, a small city just north of Dayton. We are looking to build a music program that will be integral to our growth as a faith community. Our worship is authentic and cozy with song selection being a blend of traditional and contemporary.

Job Description 

• Lead Praise Team (adult) weekly rehearsal (6:30 Wednesdays, September through May). 
• Arrange special music during summer when the Praise Team is on break. 
• Provide worship music for each Sunday service (one service at 10:30 A.M.)
• Collaborate with the Pastor to select music for worship (prelude, postlude, communion, and other solo worship music).
• Accompany instrumental and vocal soloists as needed.

Applicant Requirements

• A desire to serve God through music
• High level of Keyboard or Guitar skill
• Familiarity with church repertoire
• Ability to work effectively with Pastor and Church Secretary.

Compensation

$11,000 – $15,000 salary per year, based on experience.
